A man who escaped from the county jail in San Bernardino County with help from his wife is considered armed and dangerous.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Nixel Alert, Darrell Washington and his wife, Tania, shot a deputy sheriff in Los Angeles County on Sunday and have committed multiple carjackings.
The vehicle they were last seen in was carjacked in South Gate Sunday and is a light blue 1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager Mini-Van with a California license plate 3PHK484.
The 39-year-old Temple Sheriff's Station deputy sustained non-life threatening injuries. He was treated at a local hospital and released the same day.
The suspects were last seen in South Gate on Sunday. Theyremain at large and are considered armed and dangerous. If you see the suspects or vehicle you are asked to call 9-1-1.
