GALLUP, N.M. (AP) Authorities say a California woman has been killed in a car crash in New Mexico.
State police officers say 45-year-old Martha R. Toscano, of Ontario, was a passenger in a vehicle that collided head-on with another pickup truck about 8 a.m. Thursday on Interstate 40.
Authorities say Toscano wasn't wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene,
The driver of the other vehicle a 29-year-old New Mexico man was airlifted to an Albuquerque hospital with critical injuries. Investigators say alcohol is not considered a factor in the accident.
