Caltrans: Hwy 1 closed until at least 4:20p.m.

Caltrans now says Highway 1 near San Geronimo will be closed until at least 4:20p.m. Wednesday. A SigAlert was issued for that roadway at about 2:30p.m., after a head-on crash that is blocking the road.
Witnesses say traffic has been at a standstill since about 2:30p.m. According to the California Highway Patrol website, that accident was reported at about 2:15p.m. Wednesday.
According to emergency scanner traffic, those involved in the two vehicle crash had to be extricated from their vehicles and suffered moderate to severe injuries.
