WEEK OF FEB 22-26: Caltrans plans to completely close parts of State Route 41 in parts of San Luis Obispo County for nearly two days later this week.

Crews are closing that main roadway from the State Route 33 junction to the State Route 46 junction beginning at 6:00a.m. Thursday through 6:00p.m. Friday. That closure affects travel in Kings, Kern and San Luis Obispo counties. Caltrans says the closure will allow crews to perform work on the road, that would prevent any future erosion or rock slides.

During the closure, traffic will be detoured on to SR-33 and SR-46. Caltrans says the 50-mile detour will add about 27 minutes to the regular commute time.
