Two people were hospitalized Sunday after a car crashed into a house in Arroyo Grande.
It happened at 1 p.m. at a home in the 500 block of Halcyon Road, just south of Fair Oaks Road.
According to Five Cities Fire, two cars crashed and one car plowed into a nearby home.
One of the cars had major damage on its rear end, and the driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Three people were in the second car, which crashed into the home. The driver of the car was treated at the scene and then taken to a local hospital. The other two passengers remained at the scene.
The home has been red tagged by an Arroyo Grande building official, which means the home is unsafe to live in.
Arroyo Grande Police are investigating the accident.
Halcyon Road was closed for about an hour while officers rescued the people in the cars and cleaned up the accident.
According to reports, the family that owned the home doesn't live there full time, but they have owned the home for several years.
