The San Luis Obispo High baseball team remains unbeaten in PAC-7 conference play after beating the Paso Robles Bearcats 4-0 on Tuesday afternoon in Sinsheimer Stadium.
R.J. Hassey hit one to left center field in the second to score Louie Summer for the first run of the game. Hassey would come in to score off of a wild pitch from Paso Robles pitcher Eli Vargas.
Tiger left fielder Brian Coburn had the play of the day with a diving catch to rob TJ Durfee of extra bases.
Louie Carlos pitched the complete game shutout for the San Luis Obispo and improved the Tigers' record to 10-0 in conference play and 13-2 overall. Carlos walked 3 hitters, allowed 4 singles and struck out 6 Bearcats. The Tigers turned three double plays behind their senior hurler.
The Bearcats with the loss drop to 7-3 in conference play remain in second place.
Arroyo Grande won its fourth in a row. The Eagles won their opener with Pioneer Valley 5-0 in Santa Maria. Junior Daniel Ramirez threw a complete game five-hit shutout for the Eagles. The Panthers committed six errors in the loss.
The Eagles scored once in the second and added two more in both the third and fourth innings. Defending league champion AG is 5-5 in PAC-7 play, while PV falls to 5-8.
