See a cop come to your door and it's usually not a good thing. That's not necessarily the case this week, though, in Morro Bay. In fact, it's likely to bring you a big dose of Christmas cheer.
This week is the weeks the city's police department joins forces with the Neighborhood Watch Association to go caroling. They do so in police cars and the Christmas Trolley. Each night they cruise a different neighborhood. The event started in 1986 with one police car and Santa. But now Santa has lots of help. Tonight they are in South Morro Bay, where they'll be cruising, caroling and handing out gifts again tomorrow.
The parade of fun starts at 5 p.m. and goes until 9 p.m. The holiday spirit continues in Morro Bay this Saturday with the lighted boat parade. It was postponed last week because of a threat of high winds. That start at 6:30 along the embarcadero.
