People up and down the Central Coast are waking up with the lights on Monday, after a massive power outage left much of the area in the dark Sunday night.
Power went out shortly before 9:30 p.m., affecting around 145,000 customers from Santa Ynez to Cambria, according to PG&E.
For some, power was back on before midnight, and PG&E says power was fully restored by 2 a.m.
Officials say it was a transmission level outage due to a possible equipment failure, but the cause is currently under investigation.
Some local law enforcement agencies tell KSBY News there were no car accidents or an increase in crime due to the outage.
