Cellist to play in SLO in honor of Nazi Holocaust survivor

Brian Thornton is a national-class cellist who studied with a cellist who survived the Nazi Holocaust. Thornton is coming to Temple Ner Shalom in San Luis Obispo this Firday.

Thornton is a Cellist with the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra and founder of the Lev Aronson Legacy honoring his teacher and holocaust survivor. He will be visiting San Luis Obispo in conjunction with Festival Mosaic.

Temple Ner Shalom is at 875 Laureate Lane in San Luis Obispo. The concert starts at 2:30 p.m. Thornton has not asked to be paid for this engagement. A $5 donation will be taken at the door, which will go to the Lev Aronson Legacy Foundation.
