Central Coast Girl Scouts have a chance to be featured in GOT MILK? ad

Girl Scouts all across California have a special opportunity to be in a GOT MILK? advertisement.

It's part of a partnership that began 15 years ago when a 10 year old girl scout named Megan Weber was picked to be the face of GOT MILK?

To celebrate the 15th anniversary, the search is on for a new scout.

The woman who was featured in the original ad tells us, "They need to just enter a photo of them showing how girl scouts and milk has been a positive influence on their lives and write a short caption."

Heather Vesterfelt is the Board Chair of the Girl Scouts of the Central Coast. She says, "We would want every girl to feel that she can be confident enough to enter this contest because there is recognition for her courage to enter, there's recognition in terms of a scholarship." She also says this is a perfect time for the contest because the Girl Scouts of the United States are celebrating 100 years of scouting this year.

Three finalists of the photo contest will be featured on a billboard.

They will also get $350 to go to summer camp.

If you're a Girl Scout on the Central Coast you have until December 17th to submit a photo to the contest.

Girls need to include a caption of how milk, and Girl Scouts, has made them a strong girl.

Here is a link for the contest.
