Some members of the Arroyo Grande Hotshot Fire Crew are running to the Bay Area for a good cause.
They call it a "Porridge Run" to raise money for kids in Africa.
The run kicked off Thursday morning at five and ends in San Francisco on Saturday.
Each runner will run the length of a marathon or half-marathon along the relay route.
Runners will camp out in Big Sur to encourage the other runners.
