There were a number of Saint Patrick's Day celebrations throughout the Central Coast Sunday.

Locals took to Downtown San Luis Obispo at 6 a.m. Bars opened their doors early to let the Irish fun start.

Rooney's in Orcutt also opened at 6 a.m. for a Jameson breakfast and day-long party.

"It's fun. There's a lot of people here. It's weird being here this early and it being this packed, but it's fun," said Emilee Dasee of Orcutt.

In honor of the holiday, Rooney's offered traditional Irish food all day, and guests could even enter for the chance to win a $500 pot of gold.
