With Easter just around the corner, Santa Barbara County Animal Shelters are encouraging residents to take a bunny home for the holiday. The shelters have more than 150 rabbits in need of homes.
The regular price of adoption had been reduced from $25 to $20 for the first adopted rabbit and $12 for the second rabbit during the month of April. All rabbits adopted from the Santa Barbara County Shelters are spayed and neutered.
The shelter says rabbits have a seven to ten year lifespan and can improve the quality of life for their owners.
