Central Coast's furry friends boogie their way to new homes

It was the Sixth Annual Firecracker Boogie Barbecue and Concert Sunday in Arroyo Grande.

The event is a fundraiser for the Woods Humane Society.

It featured three bands, food, a silent auction, and a raffle. Guests could also make direct donations to the animal shelter, or they could even adopt a pet on the spot.

"They just do so much good work in the county. They've been around since 1955. They do great work adopting out 98% of the animals that they take in. They're a no kill shelter, so that of course is very important to us," said Melanie Kyle, the Co-Organizer of the event.

Even though the concert is over, Woods is always looking for donations. To learn more, click here.
