Central Coast soldier returns home in time for Christmas

A local soldier has returned home, just in time for Christmas.
Specialist Warren Pittenger, 23, landed late Friday afternoon at the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport. He returned from Iraq where he has been since May 30.
Spc. Pittenger is a graduate of Atascadero High School.
His wife said she is thrilled to have her husband home.
"All these people here that are strangers, and friends and family that came in to show their love for him, it is just really nice to be part of a community like this." said Alyssa Pittenger.
Spc Pittenger said he is most looking forward to connecting with his family and friends.
