The Morro Bay Fire Department is hosting a class on how to prepare for emergencies.
CERT training is a 20 hour, hands-on class. Participants learn what to do in the event of a natural disaster or emergency.
The class starts next month and sign-ups are happening now. It costs $20 to take the class. You can register at the Morro Bay Fire Station on Harbor Street.
More than 1,300 people in San Luis Obispo County are graduates of the CERT program.
