Certificated employees cut from San Luis Coastal Unified School Dist.

The San Luis Coastal Unified School Board met Tuesday night.
Laguna Middle School was packed with board members, and parents for a night filled with lots of hot topics.
In a unanimous 7-0 vote, the board voted to cut 28.7 certificated employee positions due to a reduction in particular kinds of services.
The following positions will be cut:

- Secondary Librarians 3.0
- District Media Center Librarian 1.0
- Elementary Counselors 8.0
- Secondary Counselors 3.2
- ELL Teachers 2.5
- Elementary Music Teacher .2
- Secondary Agriculture Teacher 1.0
- Secondary Instructional Coaches 3.0
- Teacher on Special Assignment, EL/ELA 1.0
- Secondary French Teacher .2
- Secondary Business Teacher 1.0
- Teacher on Special Assignment, Assessment 1.0
- Elementary Instructional Coach 1.0
- Special Education Resource Specialist Teacher 1.4
- Special Education Teacher on Special Assignment,
- Administrative Designee .5
- Reading Recovery Back-Up Teachers .705
