A series of low pressure troughs will move across the region and cool temperatures to below normal through the week and into the weekend. A chance of showers will begin in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties Tuesday and persist into the Thursday with possible rain and mountain snow at times over the entire region for Friday through Sunday. Those storm systems could bring around half an inch of rain.
Tonight, expect mostly clear skies, then cloudy with a 20 percent chance of rain after midnight. Lows will be in the 40s. Tuesday, you can expect mostly cloudy conditions with a 40 percent chance of rain, especially in northern San Luis Obispo County. Highs will range from the mid 50s to mid 60s with winds out of the south around 15 mph.
