The San Luis Obispo County District Attorney's office says charges have been filed against a man who police say kidnapped and raped a young woman.
Edson Tapia faces five felony counts for kidnapping for sexual purposes.
Police say he kidnapped a woman in San Miguel on Sunday and forced her to drive him to San Ardo in Monterey County.
That's when police say he raped the woman. She was able to escape, and called police.
Tapia will be arraigned Friday.
