Local golfers were out on the green Friday to raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation.
The charity golf tournament at the Monarch Dunes Golf Course in Nipomo raised money to help grant wishes of six local children.
Santa Maria Valley Physical Therapy Group and Cleaner Cans hosted the tournament and auction.
Danny Sheridan, owner of Cleaner Cans, said the best part of the day, "To see the kids smile that goes on their face knowing that he's either going to go to DisneyWorld or swim with dolphins or any of the dreams that they have. It's a lot of hard work that goes into this tournament but it's as rewarding as can be once that gift is given to that child."
In the past two years more than $57,000 was donated to the Tri-Counties Make a Wish Foundation; enough money to grant 11 wishes to children battling life-threatening illnesses.
