Charles Paddock Zoo celebrates accreditation

People will gather at the Charles Paddock Zoo in Atascadero today to celebrate its accreditation. The zoo has been accredited until 2014 by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, or AZA. The zoo had to meet the AZA's professional standards for animal welfare and management, veterinary care, behavioral enrichment, nutrition and staff training to receive the recognition.
