A well-known local chef is hanging up his hat at the Far Western Tavern. Chef Rick Manson says he and ownership of the iconic Orcutt restaurant "amicably decided to go in different directions."
Manson was offered the position at the tavern in the summer of 2011. He says he is very proud of his work there, including a recent five-star review by the Santa Barbara News Press.
Manson says he is looking forward to the future of his catering business, Chef Rick's, Inc.
"I am now considering my many options," Manson said, "looking for the right venue, and enjoying getting caught up with my DVR'd 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.'"
