Katie Chenault threw her third no-hitter of the season and struck out 13 in Righetti High softball's 10-0 win over La Salle in a CIF Division 3 first round playoff game on Thursday.
The only blemish on Chenault's pitching line was one walk on a 3-2 pitch.
The fourth seeded Warriors improved to 23-7 and advanced to Tuesday's second round.
The game was scoreless until the bottom of the third inning. Stevie Wisz laid down a safety squeeze bunt that scored Mariah Zaragoza from third. Teanna Silveira later scored from third on a wild pick off throw that ended up in left field to make it 2-0 Righetti. Junior Breanna Timmons clubbed a 2-run home run over the right center field wall to make it 4-0 Righetti. Brianna Alvarez clubbed a grand slam home run to cap an 8 run third inning.
