Child hit by car, taken to hospital

According to the California Highway Patrol, a child was taken to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center after being hit by a car in Templeton Friday evening.

The accident happened just after 5 p.m. at Main and 2nd streets.

The extent of the child's injuries is not clear.

Very little information is being released at this time.
