Children's food allergies are on the rise, and a new study finds the increase is the most dramatic among African Americans.
Self-reported food allergies nearly doubled among African American children during the past 23 years.
Scientists say African Americans typically have higher levels of allergy-related antibodies, but this increase is new.
It isn't clear if the increase is because people are better at recognizing allergies or if it is because of environmental changes.
