Chili's says an employee was fired after camera was found in women's restroom

Chili's Grill & Bar has responded to KSBY News' request for comment on the alleged finding of a camera inside the women's bathroom in the restaurant's Arroyo Grande location.

A company spokesperson says:

"At Chili's Grill & Bar, the safety and privacy of our guests is paramount. Any deviation from our privacy policies and practices is taken very seriously. I can confirm that police are investigating an incident that occurred at Chili's in Arroyo Grande last weekend. An internal investigation commenced immediately, and a Chili's employee was terminated as a result.
We are cooperating fully with local authorities on their investigation and out of respect for the integrity of their investigation refer you to them for further details."

Arroyo Grande police says it is investigating the incident, after receiving the report of a camera inside the bathroom over the weekend. No arrests have been made. The police department says its investigation into the incident is ongoing.
