About 1400 cyclists will take off for the Lighthouse Century Ride Saturday, and CHP officers in San Luis Obispo County want to make sure everyone stays safe.
The cyclists will be riding on Highway 1 between Highway 41 and the Piedras Blancas Lighthouse, as well as the northbound slow lane on Highway 1 at Toro Creek Bridge in Cayucos. Cyclists will also ride on Highway 46 between Highway 1 and Vineyard Drive in Templeton.
The California Highway Patrol will not close any roads during the race, but they will be patrolling the area to make sure cyclists and drivers are safe.
