CHP asks for witness information on fatal motorcycling accident

The California Highway Patrol is asking the public for help investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that happened on July 13th. It happened on State Route 227, just south of Tolusa around 1:30 p.m. Officials say a woman was driving her car on the northbound side of the road, and a motorcyclist was driving southbound. The car was turning into a private driveway when officials say the two hit head on. The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and killed almost immediately. The motorcycle burst into flames following the accident. The driver of the car was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. Police identified the motorcyclist as 31-year-old Robert McDonald from Pismo Beach. CHP officers are now asking that anyone who witnessed the accident contact them. They're looking for witness information from anyone who saw the collision, saw either vehicle before the collision, or saw the aftermath of the accident. If you have information, contact Officer J. Opray at (805) 593-3300.
