One person is dead following a multi-vehicle crash that knocked out power to some of San Luis Obispo Monday night.
It happened at around 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of Buckley Road and Esperanza Lane.
The CHP says at this point, it appears a pick-up truck made a left turn in front of a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.
The motorcyclist hit the back end of the pickup truck and was thrown from his bike.
He was hit by another car and died at the scene.
The CHP says alcohol was ruled out as a cause of the incident.
The car smashed into a power pole, leaving electrical lines across the roadway.
PG&E says that knocked out power to more than 350 customers.
