CHP looking for silver BMW in local hit-and-run

The California Highway Patrol is searching for a hit-and-run driver who allegedly struck a bicyclist in Shell Beach Thursday evening.
Officers say the cyclist was riding on Shell Beach Rd. between Avila Beach Dr. and El Portal. He was hauling a bike trailer with his dog inside.
The CHP is looking for a silver BMW with a missing right side mirror.
The man was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, while the dog was taken to the San Luis Obispo County Animal Shelter.
The CHP is looking for witnesses and more information. If you can help, you are urged to contact the department.
