UPDATE: California Highway Patrol says a car hit a Greyhound bus head-on early Friday morning.
It happened just after 3:00 in the morning on south-bound Highway 101 near San Anselmo Road in Atascadero.
CHP says the car was driving at a high rate of speed, in the wrong direction, when it hit the bus.
CHP tells us the driver of the car has major injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
Some people on the bus were also hurt, but are expected to be okay.
There were about 30 passengers on the bus who were transported off of the highway in vans provided by Atascadero State Hospital.
