Christmas is just five days away and believe it or not some people have yet to start their holiday shopping!
For some shoppers, Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year.
Santa Maria Resident, Stan O'Rourke says, "I have two more things to get."
But, for those procrastinating present purchasers, the last few days before the big day are more of a Christmas crunch than a happy holiday.
Los Alamos Resident, Curt Dennett says, "Last minute Christmas shopping is a tradition. It always seems that the time slips away and last minute is what you got to do."
Maddilyn Rea says,"Yeah. Very little time and with work and Christmas in what five days, yeah, so very busy."
Retailer Lori Bailey says,"It's been crazy. Yesterday was amazing. People were in here. This mall was packed. So, yeah, we're seeing a lot of last minute shopping that we had not anticipated I think."
Still, some shoppers say there's plenty of time left get gifts. Nipomo resident, Lawrence Castillo says, "I'm shopping early this morning I woke up at 9:00 to come here to go shopping." Castillo and his son figure they have so much time to shop for gifts, they might as well take a break and watch a little sunday football. "Usually I do it the last minute Because I usually come shopping here and it's packed, a lot of people here and so I'm just, I came here early to beat the rush." says Castillo.
He beat the rush alright, he has a whole bench to himself, where he can sit and watch the game. His gift must be detailed recap of this game for that special someone.
If you still have presents to purchase, some stores like Best Buy, K-Mart and Walmart will be open on Christmas eve.
