The City of San Luis Obispo has reached a tentative agreement with the Police Officers' Association to reduce salaries and have employees contribute more to pension costs.
Among other things, the agreement includes a 4% reduction in pay and elimination of uniform allowance.
POA members would also pay more into CalPERS.
City officials say the agreement, along with concessions by other employee unions this year, will help the City reach its goal of $3.1 million in personnel cost reductions.
