The City of San Luis Obispo will have to make some tough decisions to make-up a $1.5 million dollar shortfall in the budget.
A recent budget review finds the city has to make some big changes to save some cash.
At Tuesday's City Council meeting, City Manager Katie Lichtig plans to make several recommendations to the council in order to help gain the necessary savings.
Lichtig says she will recommend a hiring freeze, limiting travel and training for city employees, as well as developing an overall program to save $1.5 million dollars between now and the end of June 2011.
The city council will take a look at the entire mid-year budget report at Tuesday's meeting at 7:00 p.m.
