Classic cars displayed among war-era planes at Estrella War Bird Museum

Fans of classic and antique cars were in for a special treat this weekend.

The Estrella War Bird Museum hosted its Fifth Annual War Birds, Wings, and Wheels Car Show Saturday.

Over 300 classic and antique cars were on display among the war planes. Guests could also enjoy live music, raffles, a silent auction, and plenty of great food.

The family-friendly event also had a Fun Kid Zone with bounce houses and an arcade.

"They get to see old military planes and vehicles, and all the old hot rods that come from that era and that day. It's just a great mix and combination of both," said Carol Verstuyft, the Car Show Chairman.

Last year's event raised $18,000. Organizers expect to make $20,000 this year.

Proceeds benefit the museum.
