A man and his dog were rescued from a raft in the waters off Morro Bay on Tuesday.

The man was seen waving for help on the north side of Morro Rock around 10:24 a.m.

According to the Harbor Patrol, the man, named Terry, and his Vizsla were stranded in the raft after its motor stopped working. The man waved his shirt to signal he needed help.

A surfer in the area called Harbor Patrol. Emergency crews arrived in four minutes. They say the man and his dog would have been under the surf in about another three minutes.
