An upper level trough lingers over the western United States bringing overnight low clouds, fog and onshore breezes through the early portions of next week. The clouds and marine layer should gradually clear throughout the day opening up to sunny skies. Gradual cooling is expected on Sunday with a deepening marine layer on Sunday and Monday. Over the next few days, afternoon and evening winds are expected to be about 15 mph along the beaches and coastal valleys and up to 25 mph inland. The marine layer may be a bit shallower by the middle of the week and temperatures are expected to be a bit warmer too.
