CMC inmate donates $6K to Season of Hope, issues challenge

An inmate at California Men's Colony has donated $6,020.60 to KSBY's Season of Hope campaign. The inmate, who wishes to remain anonymous, says he "feels he owes the community far more than he can ever give back." He says he wanted to help struggling families on the Central Coast by making the donation.

The inmate says he would like to challenge CMC employees to match his donation "so that families on the Central Coast can have a more enjoyable Christmas season."

If you would like to make a donation to Season of Hope, bring non-perishable food or a new, unwrapped toy to any local fire station, Coastal Communities Physician Network (CCPN) office, Heritage Oaks Bank, or to the KSBY studios in either San Luis Obispo or Santa Maria. If you would like to make a financial donation, you can do so at any Heritage Oaks branch or by clicking here.
