Coast Union loses CIF-SS Championship Game

The Coast Union football team wasn't able to capture its first title since 1979. Faith Baptist beat the Broncos, 74-22 in the 8-man, Division-1 championship game. The game played in Canoga Park was never in doubt. The Contenders jumped out to a 30-0 lead in the first quarter and led 54-8 at the half.

Senior quarterback Angel Avina ran for two touchdowns and threw another to senior wide reciever Quinton Raethke to account for Coast Union's scoring.

The Broncos finish the season 11-2, the loss ended their eight game winning streak.
