Researchers say cocaine appears to increase the risk of stroke.
In fact, in a study, the stroke danger from the drug was much higher than other risk factors like diabetes, high blood pressure, and smoking.
Patients were six to seven times more likely to suffer a stroke within a day of abusing cocaine.
A past history of drug use had no impact on stroke risk.
