MORRO BAY, Calif. - Morro Bay High School star running back Tristan Collins has made his way to the college football scene. The Pirates first team all-conference running back will play for Division III La Verne University, located in Southern California.

"That's the one thing I wanted to do this year was to move it to the next level and play college football," Collins said, "La Verne gave me that opportunity and I'm going to make the best of it, so I cant wait."
Collins rushed for 3,075 yards and had 35 total touchdowns in his prep career.
La Verne opens up its 2014 season on the road versus George Fox University this fall.
