FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Cal Poly continues their difficult non-conference schedule with a road matchup against Colorado State on Saturday.
The Rams, who finished 4-8 last season, are off to a disappointing 0-2 start. They lost a neutral site game to in-state rival Colorado, who won just one game in 2012, and dropped a road matchup with Tulsa on Saturday.
Colorado State has allowed over 35 points per game in those two losses and know they'll have a challenge to slow down the mustangs triple option attack.
"I'm sure they're looking at our Air Force film from a year ago because of the similar offenses that they run," says Colorado State head coach Jim McElwain, "I'm not sure that that's a good thing."
The rams were hammered by in-state rival Air Force 42-21 at Falcon Stadium last season. The Falcons rushed for 459 yards against Colorado State and accumulated 516 yards of total offense.
Cal Poly and Colorado State kickoff at 12:30 PM from CSU Stadium on Saturday.
