The 18-year-old lung transplant patient who has captured the attention and hearts of Central Coast residents is back home with her family after several health setbacks.

Los Osos resident Holly Navolt underwent a double lung transplant in May to fight a condition called cystic fibrosis, which causes the lungs to deteriorate over time.

In June, she suffered serious complications, even being placed on life support, after the lungs rejected her body.

Holly made a remarkable comeback and was back home with her family on Friday; although, on Sunday she taken to a local emergency room.

As of Monday morning, a family spokesperson says Holly is home from the hospital, but in a lot of pain because she has blood clots in her lungs.

Needless to say, her fight is ongoing and far from over.

A community meeting starts tonight at 7 at the Coffee Bean in Pismo Beach.

It is for anyone who wants to help plan future fundraisers to cover Holly's continued medical needs.
