She lost by just two votes in the 2012 election, but Etta Waterfield says she's going to run for Santa Maria City Council again.
Waterfield is currently the city's planning commissioner.
She announced her candidacy at the city's library Tuesday.
Waterfield says she wants to bring good paying jobs to the city. She also wants to bring prosperity and land development to the community.
Three other candidates told the city clerk they plan to run.
They are incumbents Jack Boyson and Willie Green, and Santa Barbara County employee Amy Lopez.
