Members of the community are mourning the loss of longtime Cantral Coast supporter, Huell Howser.

On Saturday morning, the Guadalupe and Nipomo Dunes Center held a memorial hike to honor the famous TV star. Community members gathered at Oso Flaco Lake in Guadalupe.

Howser was well known for highlighting local treasures like the Guadalupe Nipomo Dunes on his show, "California's Gold."

Howser passed away in January after a battle with prostate cancer.
