Conqs, Eagles win brackets at AG High's Winter Classic

The Cabrillo and Arroyo Grande Grande girls water polo teams both went 2-0 on Friday to win their brackets to advance to the winners' bracket at the Eagles' Winter Classic.
The Conquistadores, the reigning Los Padres League champions, beat Nipomo 15-10 and topped Louisville 10-7.
Arroyo Grande, the nine-time defending Pac 7 champions, beat Thousand Oaks 10-3 and Costa Mesa 11-4 in its two games.
Paso Robles, Atascadero, Arroyo Grande junior varsity team and Righetti went 1-1 on Friday. St. Joseph, San Luis Obispo and Santa Ynez went 0-2.
AG, Roosevelt, Cabrillo, Newbury Park, Ventura and Buena won their brackets on Friday and will square off Saturday morning. The Eagles and Conquistadores go head-to-head at 10am at AG High.
Eventually, the top two teams will face off in the championship game set for 4pm at Arroyo Grande High. Games are also being played at Nipomo and Righetti High pools.
