Construction workers will be installing rumble strips on Highway 46 East from the Highway 46 and 41 interchange to the Kern County Line.
Rumble strips are bumps in the road that alert a drive if they're drifting off the highway.
Construction starts Monday and will continue every Monday through Friday from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Beginning July 14th, roadwork will also take place on Sunday nights.
Officials say drivers should expect about a 20 minute delay.
Construction should be done by July 17th.
