The San Luis Obispo Police Department says a suspicious device found outside a business on September 11, contained what's believed to be gunpowder and 14 firecrackers.
The device was discovered at around 10:00 am on Wednesday, near the front doors of a business in the 1300 block of Chorro Street.
The surrounding area was closed off while police officers and the San Luis Obispo County Bomb Task Force removed it.
Police say the Bomb Task Force was able to dismantle the device over the weekend. The device and its contents were then returned to the San Luis Obispo Police Department for further investigation.
