Coroner rules deadly Cuesta Grade crash a suicide

The San Luis Obispo County Coroner's Office has ruled January's deadly crash on the Cuesta Grade a suicide.

The Coroner has identified the driver as 41-year-old Jesus Valenzuela, of Grover Beach. The Coroner, along with the California Highway Patrol, have ruled his death a suicide.

They say on January 31st, Valenzuela deliberately crossed into the opposite lane of Highway 101 on the Cuesta Grade and crashed into a big rig head-on. The driver of the big rig was hurt in the crash.
