The cost of college is on the rise across the country.
According to an annual report by the U.S. Department of Education, the average tuition at a four-year public university increased by 15% between 2008 and 2010.
One of the most important factors in the increase is the cut in higher education spending last year, which was down in 40% of the states in the country.
The report also says that community colleges still remain one of the most consistently affordable options for higher education.
The average net price for community colleges increased by less than one percent between 2007 and 2009.
